You can unlock a door just north of you that was locked from the other side if you tried to get through. Back in B1 continue west and go north when you can. Makes for an easy escape though you probably have Evac anyway. Of course, this leads to that door that was locked on the east end before you entered the sealed door. In the southeast is a red treasure (3000 Gold Coins) and a staircase up. Raid the east hole’s jars as you follow south. The northeast stairs down continue on but first go east all the way and follow that path to unlock a door. Take the northwest route now to reach a jar, blue chest ( Gold Rosary), and red chest ( Mini Medal). Once you fall to B1, raid the jars (I found a Mini Medal on the west end and an Angel’s Statue on the north end). I don’t think it really matters which hole you take though the west and north one connect quickly. There is a ghost that teaches you a new party trick: the Weird Dance.

Ignore the holes as you enter north and go to the far north. Talk to Serena and she will be able to evaporate the seal. But that center door you should already see the ghost there in front of the seal. The far northeast (thin path) has a locked door from the inside. The straight-north path has a fence blocking it, so you’ll have to work clockwise. Northeast for another blue chest ( Prayer Ring) and southwest for a third blue treasures (Gleeban Groat). Take a right as you enter and there is a blue chest at the far right a Lump of Iron Ore for me. In Western Wormwood, you should see a big place on the map in the northwest corner. Now that we have a way to get in, time to head west of Wormwood Creek.
Return this to the place where Wallace was, and you’ll watch a scene. The lady implies it is around, so go to the northeast and investigate the stone. After the scene, go to the church this time and talk to everyone. So return to Wormwood Creek and just outside the weapon shop (to the west of it) is a statue you can search. She is looking for something, it is near the foot of the Guardian statue. Wallace runs off and you see Serena as you leave. Wallace gives us a valuable hint, something about a sentry statue at the Bowhole to the west. A Lucida Shard within, along with Wallace. You can still fit through if you search it though. Look south and east though for a smaller hole in the wall.
Enter this area and you’ll see the lake to your left. Head out and go north, then east across the bridge. Back to the church though to get some recipes in the northwest corner Soul Breaker, King Axe, Erazor-Wing Boomerang, Tempest Shield, Raging Bull Helm, and Payback Pumps. Time to go through the Wormwood Canyon it seems. Just rest to the evening now and go to the Church. Sneak back and earn their trust by stealing their Mini Medal in the treasure. Some guy in the southwest is really drunk.

The item shop has a blue treasure ( Mini Medal for me) and a bookshelf with recipes Lunar Fan, Moon Axe, Solar Fan, Full Moon Axe, Sun Crown, and Apollo’s Crown. Of course they are spendy but worthwhile upgrades. Your recovery speed impressed him and he says you can go buy some weapons. Talk to the guy in the southeast part of the room. Head to the weapon shop for a Terrible Tattoo (cursed) and a Mini Medal. Read the bookshelf in the room for recipes Purblind Bow, Blinding Bow, Pixie Boots, Tricksie Boots, Spirit Bracer, and Elfin Charm. You most likely won't learn these until much later in the game, so just wait until then. You’ll meet Wallace who nurses you back into shape. That method is what we'll discuss next.įor this method, you'll need Erik's Critical Claim (found in his Guile skill tree) ability and Hero's Pep Up (found in his Luminary skill tree) ability. There is one particular method that effectively allows you to gain over 130,000 EXP per battle but it does take some work.

They are however very rare and it often takes too much time just hunting monsters and hoping these rare enemies will appear among them. In Dragon Quest XI, certain enemies have a metal version that exists solely for this purpose. Perhaps the one staple challenge in almost any JRPG is finding the right enemy that gives the most amount of experience points in the least amount of time.
